Our Mission
It is the Mission of the GUNS and HOSES Foundation to raise funds to benefit the youth of our community, to provide monetary support to families of fallen fire and police officers and to donate designated funds to named charities of the fire and police boxing tournament participants.

GUNS and HOSES Foundation Member of the founding board, since June 2002. Retired Garland ISD Principal and Administrator, 38 years. Held responsibilities from the classroom to the High School Principal's office. Vice President of the Garland Crime Stoppers Association. Board Member of the Garland ISD Hall of Fame.
Eric Usrey, Vice President
GUNS and HOSES Foundation of North Texas Founding President, GUNS and HOSES Foundation of North Texas. Member of the founding board, since June 2002. Oversight responsibility for the GUNS and HOSES Foundation 100 Club Founder and business Owner of Air Texas Inflatables.

Gary Mork, Vice President
GUNS and HOSES Foundation of North Texas Member of the founding board, since June 2002. Oversight responsibility for the annual GUNS and HOSES Golf Tournament . Employed as the Chief of Police for Terrell I.S.D. since 08/2009. Retired from the Garland Police Department in 08/2009 with 30 years of service . Recipient of the Police Life Saving Bar from the Garland Police Department.
Linda Price, Secretary
GUNS and HOSES Foundation Member of the founding board, since June 2002. Retired Garland ISD Administrator. Served 32 years in multiple areas of responsibility from the classroom to the High School Principal's office. Board Member of the Garland ISD Sports Hall of Fame.
Kris Hostrup, Treasurer
GUNS and HOSES Foundation Member of the founding board, since June 2002. Employed by the City of Garland Police Department 22 years. School Resource Officer at the Austin Academy of the Garland ISD since 1994. Recipient of the Police Metal of Valor from the Garland Police Department.
Lt. David Swavey, Member
Founder, GUNS and HOSES Foundation of North Texas, Member of the founding board, since June 2002. Twenty five years with Garland Police Department. Executive Director, GUNS and HOSES Foundation of North Texas Tournament Director, GUNS and HOSES Boxing Tournament, Supervisor of the School Resource Officer Program, Founder, Garland Police Boxing Gym, aka, the 9th Street Boxing Gym Started in cooperation with the G.R.E.A.T. Program aimed at kids at risk.
